XREAL 1S
XREAL 1S is a pair of display glasses (a wearable screen) from XREAL. It starts at $449 in the United States (xreal.com US store). XREAL sells or supports it in 27 countries. XREAL 1S went on sale in January 2026.
The XREAL 1S is a pair of wired display glasses: plug it into a device that sends video out of its USB-C port and a large virtual screen appears in front of you. It has no battery, so the phone, laptop or handheld powers it through the same cable. It replaced the XREAL One as the main model in XREAL's lineup, moving to 1920x1200 per eye, a 52-degree field of view and up to 700 nits. The X1 chip inside handles screen anchoring, automatic dimming and 2D-to-3D conversion on the glasses, so nothing needs installing on the source. The deciding question is that source: if its USB-C port carries DisplayPort video, the 1S works directly. If it doesn't, you need an adapter or a different device.
Good fit
People with a USB-C iPhone 15 or later, a Galaxy S phone, a Steam Deck, a ROG Ally or a laptop with USB-C video who want a private big screen for films, games or a second monitor on the move.
Look elsewhere if
Skip it if you want AI features, a camera or a heads-up display for walking around: it is a monitor, not an assistant. For notifications and translation on the lens, look at the Even G2.

Limitations to know before you buy
- The port must carry DisplayPort and supply 5V/1A. A USB-C socket alone is not enough; plenty of phones charge over USB-C but send no video. XREAL's user guide also excludes the iPhone 16e.
- Lightning iPhones can't connect. iPhone 14 and earlier are out, per XREAL's compatibility notes.
- Consoles need extra hardware. Switch, Switch 2 and Switch OLED need the XREAL Hub plus power, or an HDMI-to-USB-C adapter. PlayStation, Xbox and HDMI-only PCs need an HDMI-to-USB-C adapter that also powers the glasses.
- Google Pixel is missing from XREAL's list. Android Authority reported in March 2026 that Pixel 8 and newer output video over USB-C, but XREAL itself has not named Pixel.
- No camera in the box. 6DoF anchoring and photos need the separate XREAL Eye. The store lists 1S as compatible, while the Eye spec page names only the One and One Pro series.

Questions people ask
Does the XREAL 1S work with a Steam Deck or ROG Ally?
Yes. XREAL lists Steam Deck, Steam Deck OLED, ROG Ally and other ROG handhelds as direct USB-C connections with no adapter. The handheld also powers the glasses through that cable.
Can I use the XREAL 1S as a laptop monitor?
Yes, with a Windows laptop whose USB-C port carries video, a MacBook Pro or select Mac mini models. A laptop with only HDMI needs an HDMI-to-USB-C adapter that also powers the glasses.
Do I need an app for the XREAL 1S?
No. XREAL Link is optional and shows device information. Firmware updates run from xreal.com/ota on a computer, or automatically through Beam Pro.
How big is the virtual screen?
XREAL describes it as adjustable from 31 to 500 inches. Anchor mode pins it in place, Follow mode moves it with your head, and Ultra-wide gives a wider canvas.
How much does XREAL 1S cost?
$449 in the United States, £399 in the United Kingdom, €499 in Germany, per XREAL's list prices.
Which countries is XREAL 1S sold in?
XREAL lists 27 countries, shown in the section above. Bought elsewhere, it may work, but features and support can be missing.
Can I get XREAL 1S with prescription lenses?
Yes. Glasses ship with a clip-in prescription lens frame (no lenses). XREAL sells custom inserts (1.6 or 1.67 index, standard or blue-light-blocking) through its own store: you enter SPH, CYL, AXIS and IPD at checkout. XREAL says lenses and services come from a third-party partner (DONGGUAN HUOYANHUO TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.). US page: made in 1-4 business days, delivered in about 10 business days, shipped from China. Custom lenses can't be returned except for quality issues. XREAL does not publish a supported SPH/CYL range (not published).
