XREAL 1S vs VITURE Luma Pro

Two mid-priced video glasses that look similar on paper. XREAL 1S costs $449 and VITURE Luma Pro $499 in the US. Both use Sony micro-OLED panels, both cover 52 degrees, and both plug into USB-C DisplayPort devices, including USB-C iPhones, Android phones with video output, Steam Deck and ROG Ally. 1S is rated at 700 nits but adds XREAL's native 3DoF anchoring and on-glasses 2D-to-3D conversion. Luma Pro is brighter at 1,000 nits and has built-in myopia adjustment, so some nearsighted users can skip inserts.

Questions people ask

Will both work with my iPhone?

Both connect directly to USB-C iPhones from the 15 and 16 series on. XREAL's user guide excludes iPhone 16e for 1S, and Lightning iPhones can't connect to either without extra hardware.

Do I need an app?

Not for basic use: both act as a wired display. For 1S, the XREAL Link app is optional and shows device information; firmware updates go through xreal.com/ota on a computer or through Beam Pro.
