Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3)

Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) is a pair of AI glasses with a camera and open-ear speakers from Meta with Ray-Ban. It starts at $449 in the United States (starting price). Meta sells or supports it in 29 countries. Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) went on sale in September 2026.

Gen 3 is the third Ray-Ban Meta camera frame, and on paper it is a careful refinement of Gen 2, not a new kind of product. Meta quotes up to nine hours of mixed use, an hour more than Gen 2, and a new six-microphone array that it says cuts more than 90% of background noise. Ray-Ban says the camera and LED opening is 36% smaller than on Gen 2, and Meta calls the design slimmer. The camera stays at 12 MP with 3K video, and Dolby Atmos video capture is promised for later in 2026. New frame shapes include Aviator and Zena alongside Wayfarer. It suits a first-time buyer who wants the newest no-display Ray-Ban Meta. For a side-by-side, see Gen 2 vs Gen 3.

Good fit

First-time buyers who want camera glasses with no screen, and people who take a lot of calls in loud places, since the mic array is the main hardware change Meta highlights.

Look elsewhere if

Happy Gen 2 owners: the published gains are an hour of battery and better mics, with the same camera resolution. If you want text in your view, look at Meta Ray-Ban Display instead.
