How to factory reset Meta glasses (and the Neural Band)
A factory reset wipes the glasses back to how they left the box. You'd do it before selling or giving a pair away, after a forgotten Display passcode, or as the last step when pairing keeps failing. Meta warns that it deletes all captures on the glasses and means unpairing and pairing again in the Meta AI app. The button sequence is similar across models: arms folded, five presses of the capture button, then a hold. The LED color tells you when to let go.

Tips
- Import your photos and videos first. Meta says a factory reset deletes every capture stored on the glasses.
- Glasses link to one Meta account at a time, so a new owner can't pair them until you reset. Unpair them in the app as well.
- Forgot the passcode on Meta Ray-Ban Display? Meta cannot recover it, and a factory reset is the only way back in.
- After resetting the Neural Band, Meta says to unpair and re-pair it both in the Meta AI app and in your phone's Bluetooth menu.
Questions people ask
Will a factory reset fix pairing problems?
Sometimes. Meta lists a manual factory reset as the last step in its pairing troubleshooting, after recharging, re-entering pairing mode, forgetting the Bluetooth connection and reinstalling the app.
