How to connect Meta glasses to an iPhone or Android phone
Every Meta model sets up through the Meta AI app on a phone, and Meta gives one procedure for iPhone and Android alike. Have a charged pair, Bluetooth switched on and a Meta account ready. The camera-only glasses go into pairing mode in the case, when its light flashes blue. Display pairs straight from the box after you pull the tab, and then the Neural Band pairs as a second device. The app currently asks for iOS 17.2 or later; Meta's FAQs list Android 10 with location services.

Set up and pair new AI glasses (iPhone or Android)
For Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3), Ray-Ban Meta Optics (Gen 2), Oakley Meta Vanguard, Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2), Oakley Meta HSTN and Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 1).
- Remove the plastic tab between the case and the glasses.
- Remove your glasses from the case.
- Turn your glasses on by sliding the power switch on the left frame towards the front of the glasses.
- Put your glasses back inside the case, making sure to gently push down on the top of the glasses so that the bottom of the nose bridge on your glasses makes contact with the charging port inside the case.
- When the case LED starts flashing blue, your device is ready to pair with the Meta AI mobile app.
- If your device doesn't automatically go into pairing mode, you can manually turn pairing mode on by pressing and holding the button on the back of the case for at least 5 seconds.
- Ensure your device is in pairing mode by following the instructions above.
- Download the Meta AI mobile app from the App Store or Google Play and log in using your account information.
- If you don't already have a Meta Account, you'll be asked to create one.
- Turn on the Bluetooth setting on your phone.
- Follow the instructions in the Meta AI mobile app to finish setting up your glasses.

For Meta Glasses (Adventurer, Fury, Starfire, Capri, Nova).
- Remove the plastic tab between the case and the glasses.
- Remove your glasses from the case.

Set up and pair Meta Ray-Ban Display and Meta Neural Band (iPhone or Android)
For Meta Ray-Ban Display and Meta Neural Band.
- Scan the QR code on the inside of the box with your phone. This will take you to the App Store or Play Store to download the app.
- If you already have the Meta AI mobile app, you can still scan the QR code inside the box and it will take you to the set up screen in the app to pair your devices.
- Once it’s downloaded, open the Meta AI mobile app and tap Set up a device.
- Log in with your Meta account. If you don't already have a Meta account, you'll be asked to create one. You can create a Meta account using your email, Facebook, or Instagram.
- If this is your first time pairing Meta Ray-Ban Display, leave the glasses in the case and pull the tab. The notification LED will pulse white signalling that the glasses are in pairing mode.
- If your glasses are not already in pairing mode, ensure the glasses are on by sliding the power button toward the lenses, close both arms, then press and hold the capture button for 5 seconds. Release the capture button when the notification LED starts rapidly pulsing white. This indicates the glasses are in pairing mode.
- Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to finish pairing your glasses.
- Now it’s time to pair your band. If this is your first time powering on the Meta Neural Band, press and hold for 2 seconds until you see the LED flash white and feel a vibration. The band will enter pairing mode automatically.
- If your Meta Neural Band is not already in pairing mode, press and hold the button for 3 seconds until the LED flashes white.
- If your band won't turn on because the battery is too low, charge the band for at least 15 minutes before continuing with set up. Keep the band on the charger until set up is complete.
- Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to finish pairing your band.

Pair AI glasses with the Meta AI app (iPhone or Android)

Pair Meta Neural Band with the Meta AI app
For Meta Neural Band.
- From the Meta AI mobile app, tap Glasses in the top right.
- Tap in the top right.
- Swipe down and tap Meta Ray-Ban Display and Meta Neural Band.
- Power on your wrist band by pressing and holding the button for 2 seconds until you see the LED flash white and the band vibrates.
- Put your Meta Neural Band in pairing mode by pressing and holding the button for 3 seconds until the LED rapidly flashes white.
- In the Meta AI mobile app, tap Light is pulsing white.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to finish pairing.
Step 2 refers to an icon that the page renders as an image (text shows only 'Tap in the top right.'). Meta: "If you are trying to pair Meta Neural Band and it won't turn on, be sure to charge the band for at least 30 seconds before trying again."

Fix pairing issues with AI glasses
For Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3), Meta Glasses (Adventurer, Fury, Starfire, Capri, Nova), Ray-Ban Meta Optics (Gen 2), Oakley Meta Vanguard, Meta Ray-Ban Display, Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2), Oakley Meta HSTN, Ray-Ban Meta Audio, Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 1) and Ray-Ban Stories.
- Make sure glasses are charged, turned on, and placed in the case.
- Charge glasses for at least one hour or until case LED is green.
- Press and hold the pairing button on the back of the case for 5 seconds. Release when case LED pulses a blue light.
- Check if your AI glasses show up in your phone's Bluetooth connections. If they do, forget the connection, then try pairing your glasses again.
- If that doesn't solve the issue, try deleting and reinstalling the Meta AI mobile app on your phone.
- If that doesn't solve the issue, try performing a manual factory reset for your glasses.

Tips
- Pull the plastic tab between the case and the glasses before the first charge, or the glasses won't charge or pair.
- The power switch is on the left arm of Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta HSTN, but on the right arm of Meta Glasses.
- If the Neural Band won't turn on during setup, Meta says to charge it for at least 15 minutes and keep it on the charger until setup is done.

Can the glasses pair with two phones or accounts?
Meta says AI glasses can only pair with one Meta account at a time, and must be factory reset before someone else can pair them to their account.
