Best smart glasses for Android phones in 2026

Android owners get the widest choice of smart glasses, with two catches. Meta's app needs Android 10 or later with location services on, and wired video glasses need a phone that outputs DisplayPort video over USB-C, which not every Android phone does. XREAL's compatibility list names Galaxy S series phones but not Google Pixel, although Android Authority reports Pixel 8 and newer support it. Samsung's Galaxy XR headset is the most Android-specific device on sale. Worth waiting for: Samsung and Google's Intelligent Eyewear, announced with Gemini and Galaxy Watch9 gestures and reported by the Korea Herald for a November 2026 launch.

  1. Best overall for Android: Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3)
  2. Best display glasses for Android: Even G2
  3. Best wired glasses for Android: XREAL 1S
  4. Best Android XR headset: Galaxy XR

How we ranked

We ranked by published Android requirements (minimum version, DisplayPort over USB-C for wired glasses), features documented on Android, extra benefits for Galaxy or Pixel owners, US price and the countries where each is sold. We did not test pairing or app behavior. When a maker's list leaves out a phone brand, we say so and do not assume support. See our Android compatibility page for the full lists. Where a feature depends on a Galaxy phone, such as call continuity on Galaxy XR, we name the phones and software versions the maker lists.

1. Best overall for Android

Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3)

From
$449
Display

Yes
Prescription
-12.00 to +6.00 total power (Gen 3 Aviator: -6.00 to +4.00)

The Meta AI app needs Android 10 or later and works the same on any brand. You get Meta AI, calls, WhatsApp and Messenger, Spotify and other audio apps, live translation and look and ask, plus six mics and 9 hours of mixed use. Most frames take Rx from -12.00 to +6.00. Rated IPX4. The same app requirement covers every Meta frame, so you can choose on style, price or prescription range.

Watch out: Meta AI, not Gemini, is the assistant. You need a Meta account, and location services must be on for the app. Gen 3 is sold directly in fewer countries than the app supports, so check the availability table.

-12.00 to +12.00 (sphere, per Even's G2 pages); support center lists SPH +8.00 to -12.00 and CYL ±0.25 to ±4.00

The Even Realities app supports Android 11 or later. On Android, Teleprompt's online AI scroll mode covers all 34 display languages, more than on iOS, and notifications reach the lenses over Bluetooth. 36 g, IP65, from $599. Even lists Rx from -12.00 to +12.00 sphere, and the optional R1 ring works as a controller. Navigate gives walking and cycling directions. Notifications travel over Bluetooth, so they keep arriving when the phone is offline.

Watch out: Even says foldable-phone compatibility is still in progress. Most features need the phone online, and there are no speakers.

Plug 1S into a phone with USB-C DisplayPort output, such as a Galaxy S series model, and it becomes a 52-degree private screen with native 3DoF anchoring. XREAL supports Android desktop mode, including Samsung DeX, so a phone can drive a desktop-style workspace. $449, with no battery to charge.

Watch out: XREAL's list doesn't name Google Pixel. Press reports say Pixel 8 and newer output DisplayPort, but confirm your exact phone first. With no battery in the glasses, the phone also supplies power; XREAL asks for a port that delivers at least 5V/1A.
