Lost glasses: is there a 'Find my glasses' feature?

Applies to Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3), Meta Glasses (Adventurer, Fury, Starfire, Capri, Nova), Ray-Ban Meta Optics (Gen 2), Oakley Meta Vanguard, Meta Ray-Ban Display, Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2), Oakley Meta HSTN, Ray-Ban Meta Audio, Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 1) and Ray-Ban Stories.

Meta offers a Find device option in the Meta AI app, but it works only if you turned it on before the glasses went missing. It shows the last place the app connected to your glasses, on a map. That is a last-known location, not live tracking: if the glasses were out of Bluetooth range or switched off since, the pin shows where they were then. Turning it on now is worth doing, since it covers all your Meta devices.

Official steps

  1. Turn on Find device: in the Meta AI app go to Device settings, then Privacy & security, then Find device.
  2. Once on, the app shows the last connected location of all your devices on a map (where the Meta AI app last connected to the device).

Steps from the maker's support pages.[1]

Still not working?

If the map does not help, contact the places on the last-known spot, such as a venue's lost property. For theft, file a report and contact Meta support with the serial number, which is printed inside the left arm and shown in the app.

Questions people ask

Can Find device ring the glasses?

Meta's help article describes a map of the last connected location. It does not mention a sound.

Will Find device show glasses that are switched off?

It shows where the Meta AI app last connected to them. A pair that is off or out of Bluetooth range stays pinned at that last spot.

Where do I find the serial number for a theft report?

In the Meta AI app, open Settings, select your glasses, then Glasses & privacy, Your glasses and About your glasses. Ray-Ban says it is also printed inside the left temple.
