Can you wear Meta glasses in the rain?

Yes, in light rain. Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta HSTN and Meta Ray-Ban Display are IPX4, and Ray-Ban says light rain is safe if you take them off when you can and wipe them dry. Oakley Meta Vanguard, at IP67, gives more margin.

Read "light rain" literally. Ray-Ban's wording is about getting caught out: a shower on the way somewhere, then off and dried. A day in a downpour, or rinsing them under a tap, is outside what IPX4 promises. If you run or ride in all weather, Vanguard is the model Meta built for it.

Dry them before they go in the case. Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses charge through contacts on the nose bridge, and the case reports a charging error if it detects liquid. Meta's fix is to wipe the contacts clean on both the glasses and the case and try again. The light patterns are on charging case lights.

Cold rain adds a battery problem. Meta says charging pauses while the temperature is below 32°F (0°C) and may take longer in the cold. It suggests insulating the glasses under a beanie or helmet in freezing weather, and turning off auto-import to save power. Meta frames insulation as a way to maintain battery performance in the cold.

The Neural Band that comes with Display is rated IPX7, a higher rating than the glasses it controls. For the full rundown by model, see are Meta glasses waterproof. Meta publishes no water rating for the charging case, so keep it dry, and don't open it in the rain to dock wet glasses.

My case blinks red after the glasses got wet. Is it broken?

Probably not. Meta lists liquid on the contacts as one cause of a red blinking charging error. Wipe the contacts on the glasses and in the case, let them dry, and dock again.

Is Oakley Meta Vanguard fine for running in the rain?

Meta calls Vanguard its most water-resistant frame, with an IP67 dust and water rating, and markets it for running and cycling. Still dry it before charging.
