Shows phone notifications on the lenses over Bluetooth.[1]
Even G2 can show your phone's notifications in its lenses, so you can see who messaged without pulling out your phone. It works over Bluetooth through the Even Realities app, and you choose which apps are allowed through. The glasses keep only the 10 most recent notifications. It suits people who want fewer phone checks during the day, and pairs well with the Even R1 ring for browsing alerts without touching the frame. There is no camera or speaker involved: alerts are text only. For a model that also replies to messages, see messages on Meta Ray-Ban Display.
Where it works
Ten of the biggest markets are shown. A tick needs an official statement for that country; "Not confirmed" means the maker hasn't said either way. For any other country use the lookup.
confirmed · maker says not available · not confirmed · announced · model not sold there
- Even G2: confirmed in 41 countries.
How it works
Give the Even Realities app access to your phone's notifications. Then, in the app, go to Settings, then Notification, turn on the main switch and enable the apps you want. Only apps that have already sent a notification appear in the list, so a new app shows up after its first alert. On the glasses, swipe forward or backward on the TouchPad, or up and down on the Even R1 ring, to step through recent notifications; tapping marks one as read. Even Realities' article does not describe replying from the glasses, so treat this as read-only. Two settings shape how alerts behave. Auto Display pops a new notification into the foreground on the glasses as it arrives, and Display Time sets how long it stays there. To open the list yourself, long-press the TouchPad on the ring or the temple to open the main menu, swipe to Notification and tap.
Turn it on
- Allow the Even Realities app to access notifications.
- In the app, go to Settings > Notifications and turn on the main toggle, then enable individual apps.
Tips
- Enable only the apps you need. A busy group chat will push older alerts out of the short list.
- If an app is missing from the list, wait for it to send one notification, then check again.
- Use the R1 ring to browse discreetly in meetings.
- Turn Auto Display off if pop-ups distract you during focused work, and open the list from the main menu when you choose.
Limits
- The glasses store up to 10 recent notifications.
- The article does not describe replies from the glasses.
- The master switch covers everything: with it off, Even says no phone notifications reach the glasses.
