Navigate
Walking and cycling turn-by-turn directions on the lenses, using Google Maps data.[1]
Navigate shows turn-by-turn directions in the Even G2 lenses for walking and cycling. Turn instructions, remaining distance and road names appear in view, so you can keep your phone in a pocket. Map data comes from Google Maps. Even Realities advises against using it while driving or riding a motorcycle. It suits city walkers and cyclists who want glanceable directions without a voice in their ear. Meta's version on its display glasses is covered under Meta Ray-Ban Display navigation.
Where it works
Ten of the biggest markets are shown. A tick needs an official statement for that country; "Not confirmed" means the maker hasn't said either way. For any other country use the lookup.
confirmed · maker says not available · not confirmed · announced · model not sold there
- Even G2: confirmed in 41 countries.
How it works
Turn on location services and allow the Even Realities app to use your location. In the app, open Navigate, choose a destination and a travel mode, and tap Start, or say "Hey Even, navigate to my home by walking". The glasses show the next turn, distance, road names, waypoints, total distance, estimated travel time and arrival time. A single tap on the TouchPad switches between a Mini Map that rotates with your heading and a Full Map with north up. The phone must stay online during navigation. If you give the app "Always" location access, the glasses keep loading map information while the phone is locked. You can also start from the glasses: save addresses such as Home or Office in the app, then swipe to Navigate and single-tap the TouchPad to pick one. To stop, double-tap the TouchPad and confirm, or tap Exit in the app. On arrival, Even says navigation ends by itself after about four seconds.
Turn it on
- Enable location services and give the Even Realities app location permission (and 'Always' if you want it to work while the phone is locked).
- In the app, open Navigate, pick a destination and travel mode, and tap Start; or say "Hey Even, navigate to my home by walking".
Tips
- Grant "Always" location access, or directions stall when the phone locks.
- Use the Mini Map while moving; the Full Map is better when you stop to check the route.
- Plan routes where cycling is allowed. Navigate offers walking and cycling, not driving.
- Save Home and Office in the app before you head out, so you can start a route from the glasses without taking out your phone.
Limits
- Walking and cycling only; not recommended for driving or motorcycles.
- Needs a live internet connection on the phone.
- Even Realities does not publish supported regions.
