XREAL Air 2 with prescription lenses

XREAL offers prescription lenses for XREAL Air 2 but has not published a range.[1]

Air 2 is the base model of XREAL's older Air generation. Prescription support works through Air-series inserts from partners, and XREAL doesn't publish a range. It shares that insert family with Air 2 Pro, but not with the newer One series. Air 2 is an older model without XREAL's X1 chip; that doesn't change the lens, but it's a reason to compare with newer pairs before buying. The US store lists it as sold out, while the UK store still lists it. If you are in the US, a One-series pair may be easier to buy along with its lenses. XREAL's US page names Lensology and Rochester Optical as its partners, and says the insert in the box can also go to a local optical store to have custom lenses made.

How to order

  1. Check that the Air 2 is still in stock in your country.
  2. Order an Air-series insert from an XREAL partner with your prescription.
  3. Clip the insert in behind the display.
  4. Keep the receipt for the insert separate from the glasses; they come from different sellers.
  5. Or take the boxed insert to a local optician and have lenses cut for it.
