Amazon glasses
Amazon's current smart glasses are a single generation: Echo Frames (3rd Gen), announced in 2023. They are audio-only Alexa glasses with open-ear speakers and microphones, and they have no camera and no display. Amazon rates them at up to 6 hours of continuous media playback, and they are rated IPX4. The choice inside the range is mostly about frames. Five Echo Frames styles (Modern Rectangle, Rectangle, Round, Square and Cat Eye) sit alongside two Carrera Smart Glasses with Alexa styles, the Cruiser and Sprinter, which cost more. Lens options include sunglasses, blue-light filtering and prescription-ready. Amazon's listing still calls the third generation its newest model and says it is designed for Alexa+. Display glasses from Amazon have been reported by The Information, via UploadVR, but Amazon hasn't announced them, so they aren't covered here. Buy Echo Frames if Alexa is the point and you want no lens on your face; look elsewhere for photos or visual AI.
